Light quality

Warm white sits at the yellow end of the scale — the tone people associate with a relaxed lounge or bedroom, and the closest match to the old incandescent globes. This one puts out 310 lumens. That is enough for a bedside lamp, a passage, or one of several fittings sharing a room. The 360° beam spreads light widely rather than throwing it in one direction. A CRI of 80 describes how faithfully colours appear under the light — the higher the figure, the more natural fabrics, food and skin tones look.

Fitting and compatibility

B22 is the two-pin bayonet cap: push in, twist a quarter turn, done. It is the other standard fitting in South African homes alongside E27. It runs on 230V, standard South African mains supply. It measures 112mm high.
