Light quality

Warm white sits at the yellow end of the scale — the tone people associate with a relaxed lounge or bedroom, and the closest match to the old incandescent globes. This one puts out 220 lumens. At this output it works as accent or secondary lighting rather than the main light in a room. A CRI of 70 describes how faithfully colours appear under the light — the higher the figure, the more natural fabrics, food and skin tones look.

Fitting and compatibility

GU5.3 (also sold as MR16) is the two-pin 12V cap. It needs a transformer or driver rather than running straight off the mains. Running at 12V, it needs a transformer or LED driver — it will not work wired directly to the mains. It measures 52.8mm high.
