it works well once you decipher gibberish instructions
The black dial behind the white 24 hour clock numbers actually have tiny little switches. These you need to push / click down for the time slots you want the plug switched on. The white sliding switch on the side needs to be pushed down to keep the unit on. Minus a star for the manufacturer who frustrated me with their nonsense instructions. lol
Radiant 24 Hours Programmable Timer Plug Switch
The timer switch works 100% as advertised. Would buy again. Read for CLEAR instructions:1.Plug the timer into a power outlet socket and plug the appliance or light you whish to operate on the timer into the timer switch. Make sure that the power outlet, as well as the appliance or light is on. 2. Turn the dial so that the arrow on the timer face synchronizes with your current time.3. Press the15 minute increment segments around the timer switch face down from the time you want the appliance or light to turn on and remain on. 4. On the side of the timer plug switch is a toggled switch - push it down so that the little clock picture is visible - this means that the timer is activated and the appliance will only be on for the time you selected. (If you push the toggle switch up a capital "I" will be visible which means the timer is inactive and basically just a power outlet.) 5. If all is done correctly, the appliance or light will turn on (i.e. receive electricity) and stay on for the period you had selected.

Easy set up
Easy to set mechanical timer switch. Useful to set up lights for plants. A bit bulky so does obscure/block adjacent plug points.

The designers of this gadget must have assumed that all humans are born with an instinctive knowledge of how to use the pins on this device to set a timer. This knowledge was not included in my firmware and it comes with no instructions, so took some figuring out. Once figured out it did exactly what I needed.
