The Eurolux G946CW is a 5W mr16 downlight on the GU5.3 / MR16 (12V pin) fitting. It replaces a 40W incandescent without changing the fitting. Output is 375 lumens of cool white light.

Light quality

Cool white is a crisp, neutral tone. It keeps whites looking genuinely white, which is why it suits kitchens, bathrooms and work areas. This one puts out 375 lumens. That is enough for a bedside lamp, a passage, or one of several fittings sharing a room. The 38° beam is comparatively narrow, which concentrates light where you point it.

Fitting and compatibility

GU5.3 (also sold as MR16) is the two-pin 12V cap. It needs a transformer or driver rather than running straight off the mains. Running at 12V, it needs a transformer or LED driver — it will not work wired directly to the mains. It measures 54mm high.

Good to know

This unit is not dimmable — pair it with a standard switch rather than a dimmer circuit, or it will flicker and its life will shorten. Runs on 12V. Check that your fitting takes the GU5.3 / MR16 (12V pin) cap before ordering.
