Light quality

Daylight is the coolest, bluest tone on the scale. It reads as very bright and alert, which suits garages, workshops and security lighting more than living rooms. This one puts out 50 lumens. At this output it works as accent or secondary lighting rather than the main light in a room. The 360° beam spreads light widely rather than throwing it in one direction. A CRI of 70 describes how faithfully colours appear under the light — the higher the figure, the more natural fabrics, food and skin tones look.

Fitting and compatibility

G4 is the miniature two-pin 12V cap used in cabinet and display fittings. Running at 12V, it needs a transformer or LED driver — it will not work wired directly to the mains. It measures 30.5mm high and 11.4mm across.
