Eurolux B22 Opal LED Globe — 9W Daylight 6500K 810lm, Bulb 50mm G1031DL

The Eurolux G1031DL is a 9W globe LED globe on the B22 (bayonet) fitting. It replaces a 60W incandescent without changing the fitting. Output is 810 lumens of daylight light.

Light quality

Daylight is the coolest, bluest tone on the scale. It reads as very bright and alert, which suits garages, workshops and security lighting more than living rooms. This one puts out 810 lumens. That is a typical main-light output for a bedroom or a small to medium room. The 230° beam spreads light widely rather than throwing it in one direction. A CRI of 80 describes how faithfully colours appear under the light — the higher the figure, the more natural fabrics, food and skin tones look.

Fitting and compatibility

B22 is the two-pin bayonet cap: push in, twist a quarter turn, done. It is the other standard fitting in South African homes alongside E27. It runs on 220V, standard South African mains supply. It measures 108mm high and 50mm across.
