The Eurolux B301 is a black die cast aluminium wall light. Rated IP44, so it is built to sit outside in South African weather.

Fitting and compatibility
IP44 means it is protected against splashing water from any direction, which covers most sheltered outdoor and bathroom positions. The lamp is supplied with the fitting, so there is nothing else to buy. It measures Height : 155mm, Width : 275mm, Depth : 110mm. The die cast aluminium construction is what you are paying for at this price — it is the part that determines how well the fitting ages.

The light looks exactly like the picture, and the recommended bulb is spot on – it gives off really good light, perfect for a braai area.BUT mounting it was a real mission. The back of the housing isn’t flat, there’s a recess that prevents it from sitting flush against the wall. Because of that, the screws provided aren’t long enough to hold it properly. When I tightened one of the screws into the plastic wall plug, the aluminium casting at the back actually cracked and broke a piece off so I couldn't use that hole, not great quality!In the end, I could only use one of the two screws (the other mounting point broke), and I had to secure it further using the cable. Honestly, it’s such a poor design, why not just make the back flat, or at least provide a proper bracket to mount it securely?Looks good and works well once installed, but installation was unnecessarily frustrating.
